Bio



Liz Vacco is a LA-based performer, choreographer and educator. She has worked with Les Freres Corbusier, The Collapsable Giraffe, Fovea Floods, Gold No Trade, One Year Lease, Sidra Bell Dance NY and at Lincoln Center’s Clark Studio Theater, St. Ann’s Warehouse, PS 122 and the Hangar Theater. She has also toured regionally and internationally, most recently to Shanghai, China. She is a founding member of the multi-disciplinary performance collaborative, Immediate Medium, contributing to their original and genre-defying works as a creator, performer and choreographer since 2002. She can also be seen in a handful of commercials and has choreographed for several graduate films.

For thirteen years, Liz has taught dance, choreography, theater and yoga to children at various schools and studios and through various programs in New York City and Los Angeles, including New York City Ballet's Education Program and at Gabriella Charter School. In 2011, she created and released an original dance video for kids ages 2-5 entitled Petite Feet. Due the success of the first video, a follow up video, Petite Feet 2: The Alphabet Jungle, is slated to be released in November 2014.

She grew up in Stow, Massachusetts and graduated from Yale with honors in Theater Studies. Throughout her four years at Yale, she danced and choreographed for Yaledancers and served as the organization's co-president and treasurer. She is currently pursing her multiple subject and kinesiology credentials as well as her Master's in Education from Cal State LA.
